PW has had a long involvement with the aviation sector starting with the extension of Dublin Airport in the 1960s.
PW Nigeria constructed a 3.5km long asphalt runway, taxiways and parking apron in the Minna International Airport, Nigeria for the Nigerian Airports Authority (now known as FAAN). This was followed by a 1.5km airstrip at Bida and rehabilitation of the runway at Kaduna Airport .
PW Ghana completed a major runway extension and new parking aprons at Kotoka International Airport, Accra, Ghana for Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, and recently carried out emergency repairs at the Kumasi Airport runway in Ghana ahead of the Cup of African Nations, 2008.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has recently awarded further work for the rehabilitation and overlay of the domestic runway at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos to PW Nigeria given successful completion of construction on the International Runway.
PW has also carried out terminal building refurbishment and extension for these authorities in Kano and Accra.
